Xiaoran Bai is a graduate student at Georgia Tech pursuing dual degrees in Digital Media and Computer Science with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. Her research interests focus on human-centered AI, emotional experience in interactive systems, and design-driven inquiry. She has experience conducting literature reviews, user studies, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis across UX and HCI research projects. Currently, Xiaoran is a member of the Design Intelligence Lab’s SAMI research group.

Arshad Shaik is a master’s student in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, specializing in the intersection of intelligent systems and software architecture. With over eight years of experience as a software engineer and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), he has a robust background in building scalable infrastructure and high-performance applications. At the Design Intelligence Lab, his research focuses on the SAMI project, where he develops iterative deepening systems for multi-intent correction to improve human-AI collaboration. Outside of his research and engineering work, Arshad is an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys staying active through pickleball and strength training at the gym. He also enjoys channeling his creativity into UI/UX design projects in Figma and exploring new destinations through travel. When he’s not refining system designs, you can often find him tackling complex coding challenges or planning his next adventure.

Hashaam Bajwa is a graduate student pursuing an MS in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. As part of the Design Intelligence Lab, he works on the A4L 2.0 Data Engine team, contributing to the development of analytics and data pipelines that support AI-augmented learning systems. He holds a background in software engineering and is passionate about building scalable systems that bridge AI research and real-world applications. Outside of work and research, Hashaam enjoys playing basketball and making music.

Ivan Pupo is an OMSCS student at Georgia Tech and is currently on the A4L team. Ivan is interested in web development, one of his projects is langgecko.com

Shubham Puri is an MSCS student from the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. With a strong background in mathematics and computer science, he has developed research experience through Special Problems work as a graduate student, with interests spanning interaction design, artificial intelligence, and the mathematical underpinnings of computing, alongside pursuits beyond academic and lab work.

Rohan is a Master’s student in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, specializing in Interactive Intelligence. His academic and research interests span machine learning, natural language processing, cognitive science, network science, algorithms and operating systems. Alongside his studies, he is a software engineer at Arista Networks, where he works on developing state-of-the-art features and optimizing and scaling complex applications. At DILab, Rohan is part of the Social Agent Mediated Interactions (SAMI) project, which aims to improve the efficacy of online learning using AI.

At his core, Rohan is passionate about applying computer science and technology to build systems that meaningfully improve people’s lives.

Outside of CS, Rohan is a film buff, an avid reader of biographies and a devoted Novak Djokovic fan. He enjoys traveling, with a particular love for wildlife safaris, and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines.

Jiao Bao is a Master’s student in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, focusing on AI and machine learning. With experience in both research and software development, her interests lie in building tools that connect machine learning with real-world applications. She helps lead an interdisciplinary research team in Georgia Tech’s Smart City lab, where she works on computer vision data insights.  In her free time, she likes playing piano and gaming.
