Maria Fernanda Cortes holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Operations Research and Statistics from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia, and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She works as a Senior Data Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she leads the conception, development, and large-scale automation of AI/ML solutions to solve complex business challenges for enterprises worldwide. Additionally, she is a Research Assistant for the DILab, with a focus on personalization and human-AI interaction studies.
